My Miniature ArmiesWhen not herding rabbits I keep myself amused painting armies of lead soldiers and playing wargames with them. These range from Ancient Rome:
These armies are 1/100th scale, so each man is only 15mm tall. to 19th century India where British and Indian troops battle Afghan tribesmen: These armies are 1/64th scale. Each man is 28mm tall. Click on the thumbnails to see a bigger picture. With the artillery limbers I had to do some conversions on the figures to get the pieces I wanted. To the Second World War: These armies are 1/100th scale again. Click on the thumbnails. I have both Germans and Canadians. A recent project has been returning to some of my first armies from the Middle Ages. Here's a work in progress shot of some new 1/64th scale Retinue troops from the Wars of the Roses:
